Global Nomads Washington Area (GNWA) is a voluntary association that has served global nomads in metropolitan DC, Maryland, and Virginia for over a decade. Our primary function is to foster and support the local community of global nomads and TCKs (Third-Culture Kids) by organising social activities. We also aim to organise around and create new opportunities to learn, share and discuss topics of interest to global nomads and the larger internationally-minded community in the DC metro area.

GNWA Steering Committee The current GNWA steering committee has been in place since 2003. The committee consists of a core group that meets quarterly to program GNWA activities in the Washington DC area.

GNWA grew out of Global Nomads International (GNI) and is informally affiliated with the larger organization. It is currently an independent group with no official membership connection, responsibilities to or benefits from GNI.
